The award will be presented at the annual Institute, which will take place Baltimore, MD on April 28.  In addition, Ms. Ramirez is also co-presenting a paper at the conference.

Here is the announcement sent by the awards committee about Rochelle:

The Mark Moses Distinguished Fellowship Award recognizes outstanding academics and students in the field of social work management. Rochelle Ramirez, the 2011 recommended recipient of this award, is a student in the final year of her graduate social work program at California State University at Bakersfield.  As her field placement assignment, Rochelle was part of a pilot program sponsored by the University and the Kern County Public Health organization to serve frail elderly residents. Rochelle distinguished herself in this work, successfully collaborated with the professional nursing staff and demonstrated the invaluable role social workers can play in the administration of such programs. Rochelle demonstrates excellence in her academic work, ability to work as a member of a team, and commitment to diversity in those she serves.

Congratulations Rochelle!
