Two chances this week to give input regarding CSU budget

Our campus budget forum will be held tomorrow, May 22nd, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Multipurpose Room. To attend the campus budget forum via livestream, please access via the following link: www.csub.edu/livestream/BUDGET/. In preparation for the budget forum, we have posted to our Budget Central website (under May 8, 2012) background documents presented at the May 8, 2012  Board of Trustee’s (BOT) meeting.  (Budget Central is accessible from the home page in the Special Features box.) These documents include a PowerPoint on possible revenue enhancement and cost reduction strategies presented to the BOT by Ben Qullian, Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer, as well as the attendant report of the Committe on Finance. The documents are for information only. No action has been taken.

In addition to our campus budget forum tomorrow, the Chancellor’s Office has scheduled a live webcast of the Systemwide Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to discuss possible revenue enhancement and cost reduction strategies. An invitation to the CSU campus community for the SBAC meeting is posted on Budget Central. We wll gather in the Student Union Multipurpose Room to view the meeting as a campus. For those who cannot attend the campus viewing, a limited number of communications links are available for desktop viewing. You must register in advance to obtain a communications link. You also may submit questions or comments in advance. Instructions for both are provided at the following link: www.calstate.edu/budget/fybudget/presentations-communications/1112-sbac-announcement.shtml.
