Attending college is the barrier where education takes place to develop skills and be able to apply them to the ideal job after graduation. So, why not take advantage of the free services CSUB provides for students to succeed after college? Whether you are an incoming freshman or ready for that cap and gown moment; the Center of Community Engagement and Career Education (CECE) has workshops to educate students on the services they provide.
Want to know how to apply your skills in the labor force but are unsure of how to proceed? The CECE helps students on how to write a résumé, locate an internship and search for a job.
Friday, September 21st, CECE will host “RunnerLink -The Ultimate Career Services System” from noon to one in the CECE office, located between the “Runner Café” and the Walter Stiern library. The workshop will be coordinated by Katrina Gilmore, RunnerLink Technology Specialist/Event Coordinator, who encourages CSUB students and alumni to come out and learn of how the RunnerLink will benefit them.
The CECE department is available for making appointments to see a counselor or attending a workshop to spruce up your résumé; the RunnerLink system is available 24/7 to make this possible.
The workshop this Friday will be an overview of how the RunnerLink system works such as how to make appointments, upload your résumé and how to do a job search for your field of interest. Katrina Gilmore encourages students and alumni to come out Friday and learn about the RunnerLink system because, “It’s convenient and allows them more access to resources.”
